CPE is such an important organization! The work they do is especially valuable in our contemporary moment as we grapple with how to develop not only responses to our current political climate but as we continue to imagine and build a just and sustainable (and sustainably just) world. Their 2017 conference, and their track at the 2017 Howard Zinn Book Fair, and their commitment to programming that provides opportunities for critical engagement around both theory and praxis, and that brings together people involved in different “movements”  – are all significant contributions!! As a newcomer to the area, they’ve become my go-to for what to read, think, show up to, and do in these seeming times of crisis
