Join the Anti-War Working Group (a project of Center for Political Education) for a teach-in on the Feminist Peace Initiative’s “A Vision for a Feminist Peace”.  Authors and signatories of the document will discuss the framework and offer concrete steps for building a vibrant, feminist, and multi-racial anti-militarist movement.

Speakers include:

  • Janene Yazzie, Sixth World Solutions
  • Linda Burnham, writer and political analyst
  • Nadine Naber, University of Illinois, Chicago and Mamas Activating Movements for Abolition and Solidarity (MAMAS)
  • Sunyoung Yang, Grassroots Global Justice Alliance

The coming period offers opportunities to drive bold policies that create collective safety domestically and abroad. “A Vision for a Feminist Peace: Building a Movement-Driven Foreign Policy” offers an internationalist, feminist framework that proposes a way forward to peace and self-determination. Join the Anti-War Working Group to learn more about how to put this important document to work.

Movements for social justice made some substantial gains last year. However, they are getting ready to fight for even more of what communities of color and working-class people need to thrive including shifting political priorities away from systems of domination, militarism, and coercion and toward solidarity, collective care, and rightful relationships with the land.
