Abolition and COVID-19

May 29, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Join Center for Political Education, The Red Nation, and the Arab Resource & Organizing Center for a series of critical conversations on settler colonialism, US imperialism, and decolonization. The COVID-19 pandemic is global, and so our response to it must also be global. Friday Night Forums feature anti-imperialist perspectives and lessons on organizing from around the world, with a focus on decolonizing Turtle Island.

Friday, May 29, at 5pm PDT, join us for a forum exploring how the politics of abolition help us learn lessons for international solidarity during COVID-19 featuring:

Ruthie Wilson Gilmore, CUNY Graduate Center
Emilie Rakete, People against Prisons Aotearoa
Mohamed Shehk, Critical Resistance
Introduced by Nicolás Cruz, The Red Nation

Moderated by Rachel Herzing
